Here are the steps to turn off notifications in Chrome (see below). It’s easy to click “accept” when Chrome asks if you want to allow a website to send notifications, but these notifications can sometimes come from hijacked sites and result in a lot of spam. Follow these steps to turn off notifications:

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window to open the Chrome menu.
  3. Click on “Settings” in the menu.
  4. In the left sidebar, click on “Privacy and security.”
  5. In the “Site Settings” section, click on “Notifications.”
  6. You will see a list of websites that have requested notification permissions. To turn off notifications for a specific website, click on the three dots next to the website’s name and select “Block.” To turn off all notifications, toggle the switch next to “Ask before sending (recommended)” to the “Off” position.

The other item you may want to check is your Chrome extensions. Sometimes, you can pick up extensions that will deliver ad pages and notifications. To check and disable these extensions, follow these steps:

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window to open the Chrome menu.
  3. Click on “More tools” in the menu and then select “Extensions” from the submenu.
  4. This will open the Chrome Extensions page, which displays a list of all the extensions you have installed.
  5. To disable an extension, click on the toggle switch next to the extension’s name to turn it off.
  6. To remove an extension, click on the trash icon next to the extension’s name.
  7. Keep in mind that disabling or removing an extension will prevent it from running in Chrome, but it may still be active on other websites or in other apps. If you want to completely remove an extension, you may need to uninstall it from your device or delete it from your account.
